Starbucks Just Released Two New Holiday Drinks - Food News

The world is still coming down from the combined sugar rush of Halloween and Starbucks' viral Zombie Frappuccino, but the coffee giant is ready to get the holiday season started. Starbucks just released two new holiday drinksthe Toasted White Chocolate Mocha and Chestnut Praline Chai Latteand they both sound very exciting.

The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha is made with a special new toasted white chocolate syrup, espresso, steamed milk, and whipped cream.

"We took white chocolate and applied a culinary twist by slowly roasting white chocolate to brown the cocoa butter and caramelize the milk and sugar. This deepens the flavor, makes it more complex, and brings out toasted nutty notes that linger as you sip the beverage," says Starbucks beverage developer Erin Marinan.

The whole thing is then topped with a sprinkle of candied cranberry sugar. The tartness of the cranberries complements the creamy, toasted white chocolate flavor, and adds a bit of sparkly holiday color. The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha is available hot, iced, and as a Frappuccino.
