The Best Way to Pack Alcohol in Your Suitcase - Holiday Travel
From The Kitchn - November 7, 2017

If you are traveling to someone else's home for the holidays, you may be considering toting along alcohol in some shape or form. This is because (1) someone will drink it, (2) you can spend as much or as little as your budget allows, and (3) it does not require a ton of effort.

The problem with alcohol, of course, is that it is liquid. As such, the TSA will not let you carry it with you unless you divvy it up into 3.4-ounce containers. So, you will need to pack it in such a way that it does not spill all over your special Thanksgiving sweater. Here's the best way to do it.

1. Start with a soft layer of clothes.

When you are ready to pack, gather your clothes and begin with a soft layer for the bottom of the suitcase.

2. Roll your booze in bubble or foam wrap.

Next, you want to roll up the bottle in a strip of bubble or foam wrap. Do not be shy about using that wrap!

3. Roll it up a second time.

4. Nestle your bundle carefully.

5. Finish with a soft layer of clothes.
