An Honest Review of The Laundress Cleaning Supplies - Cult Cleaners
From The Kitchn - October 16, 2017

As an Airbnb host, I am always looking for little helpers that make my home feel luxuriousand keep it that way. That's how I stumbled on The Laundress, a New York-based laundry and fabric care line. I wanted to make sure my nice sheets stayed soft and in good shape through many (many!) launderings, and it came recommended.

One wash and I was hooked, even though at $20 per 32-ounce bottle it's definitely not cheap. But because you literally use a spoonful of the stuff, it probably (maybe?) works out to be comparable to the store stuff. And there's no need for fabric softener either; the fresh laundry smell is a dream.

In fact, I loved it so much, I thought, why not try their cleaning supplies?

The cleaning never ends at my house, a century-plus-old monster housing two dogs and a full-time Airbnb rental space. I am super picky about what I clean withthe house should smell clean and fresh, but not like a chemical factory, you know?and despite amassing a veritable warehouse of various sprays and potions, I never seemed to have the right bottle when I needed it.

So I ordered two bottles that I hoped would rule them allThe Laundress Surface Cleaner and The Laundress All-Purpose Cleaning Concentrateand put them to the test. They normally cost $12 each, but I paid $9 thanks to a 25 percent off promotion. I figured if they were not a match for muddy paw prints on hardwood floors, a stove and kitchen trashed by a breakfast extravaganza, and the top-to-bottom cleaning of our rental flat we do after every Airbnb guest, I could deal with an $18 loss.

We did not get off to a great start.
